About the course
In this course, students will step into the shoes of skilled aircraft maintainers, tackling real-world challenges and using state-of-the-art virtual tools and equipment. As they navigate through interactive simulations, they will hone their problem-solving skills and build confidence in handling various maintenance scenarios.
Learning Objectives
Develop proficiency in precision measurement techniques using tools such as dial indicators and hole gauges, enabling accurate assessment of component runout, bend, and hole sizes in aircraft maintenance and repair.
Gain foundational knowledge in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, including dye penetrant, eddy current, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and tap testing, to effectively detect and interpret flaws in aircraft components and structures.
Acquire essential knowledge about aviation principles, terminology, flight instruments, and aircraft components to develop a solid foundation in the field of aviation.
Learn and demonstrate essential ground operations skills in aircraft handling, fueling, starting, running, taxiing, and shutdown procedures, ensuring safe and efficient aircraft operations on the ground.
